- In 2004 41.4% of Georgia voters voted for
ObamaJohn Kerry. Those voters will go Obama.
- Most of the newly registered will vote Obama. The state Democrats are working hard to register new voters and get them to the polls.
- Most independents will vote Obama.
- At least 5% of the GOP will vote for Georgian (Libertarian Party Candidate) Bob Barr or stay home.
- Then there are the Obamacans...Republicans for Obama.
It’ll be close. We have our right wingnuts here who want you to believe it can't happen. Who are they trying to fool? Themselves maybe.
I won't finish that quote, but I am still alive and often kicking. It was very nice that Aput wrote me to let me know that folks were a bit worried by my absence and may have lost me since I changed my blog name for the US election (I was formerly Matthew 25).
My work is seriously busy, I am getting out of the house more on weekends, and have joined a gym after a three-year absence. I do enjoy blogging and do plan on continuing this blog, probably under a new name after the election (or before, if Hillary is nominated). I am one of those very strong Obama supporters who realizes that even if Hillary wins the nomination, she'll be far better as President than four more years of this Republican nightmare.
This is at the very least a great sentimental endorsement.
I voted absentee Saturday morning in Georgia for Obama. The ballot had been on my desk for almost two weeks as I went back and forth about my vote. In the end, I chose Obama as a unifying candidate for the Democrats with the best chance of winning in November. I also chose him because I believe we need younger people to move us forward. Us older people have messed things up bad enough.
I don't agree with Obama or any candidate on every issue, but that would scare me if that ever happened.
I'm going to keep this short and will write more on it in the future. My dream Democratic ticket is Gore-Obama. My nightmare ticket is Hillary-Anyone.
Republicans are mostly so extreme right, I will likely never vote for one again. McCain has flip-flopped on so many issues to win far right support, he has lost credibility with me. Besides, he will be 72 in 2008.
Ralph Nader will be 74 in 2008, so I think he is past prime. If he does run, it is likely his last effort.
Pat Paulsen is dead.
Mickey Mouse is in the shirt pocket of the Disney Company. And Disney is, well, sooooooo gay, dahling.
Yep, Gore-Obama.

"Jesus loved and accepted others without approving of everything they did. That's our position too, but it upsets a lot of people ...."

Bravo Rick. My Christian conviction exactly.
